How high should a bedside table be?

A bedside table should sit roughly level with the top of your mattress, or up to 5cm–10cm higher. This makes it easier to reach for items while in bed and helps maintain a balanced look.

What is the standard height for bedside tables in the UK?

Most bedside tables are between 60–71cm high. However, the ideal height will depend on your bed and mattress, so it’s worth measuring to find the best fit for your space.

How do you choose a bedside table?

When choosing a bedside table, consider the height of your bed, the amount of storage you need and the space available on either side of the bed. Smaller rooms may benefit from compact or small bedside tables, while larger spaces can accommodate wider designs. It’s also important to match the style and finish to your existing furniture, including your bed frame, to create a consistent look.
